The Department was established in the year 1972 under the guidance of Mr. A. P. Pradhan.

Vision:

  • To empower students to apply their Statistical knowledge practically for the betterment of society.
  • To develop Statistically literate graduates who can critically analyze data and make informed decisions in complex situations.
  • To bridge the gap between academic curricula and industry requirements.
Mission:
  • To deliver high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs in Statistics, providing students with a solid foundation in statistical theory and practical applications.
  • To foster collaboration with other academic departments and industry partners to solve real-world problems using statistical methods.
  • Incorporate Skill Enhancement Courses.
